California Farm Donates 300,000 Eggs to Fire Victims Amid Bird Flu

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Rosemary Farm has stepped up to provide much-needed support to those affected by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles County. After the devastation caused by the Palisades and Altadena fires, and amidst rising egg prices, this 100-year-old family-run farm has donated an astonishing 324,000 eggs to help victims rebuild their lives.

Among these generous contributions, 54,000 eggs will find their way to Gather For Good, a wonderful charity made up of chefs and volunteers who prepare nourishing meals for first responders and those bravely fighting the fires. Additionally, Winter Fate Bakes, a lovely bakery in Los Angeles, will receive a separate donation to create birthday cakes for children who have tragically lost their homes.

Despite facing their own challenges due to bird flu affecting their hens, Rosemary Farm has shown remarkable resilience and compassion. They have partnered with their “sister farm” in South Dakota, which has remained unaffected, to ensure that this donation could happen. Linda Sanpei, who manages marketing for the farm, expressed the importance of community support during these tough times.

With a belief in the power of giving back, Rosemary Farm is making a beautiful impact just when it is needed most. The donated eggs will be transported in refrigerated trucks to the Los Angeles Food Bank, where they will be distributed to those in need.

This generous act is just one of many as businesses and individuals come together to support fire victims. For instance, Guitar Center has launched a multi-million dollar fund to replace musical instruments lost in the fires, showing that kindness knows no bounds.

Let’s celebrate this incredible spirit of generosity and community as we share this uplifting story of love and support!
