After spending over 200 days at the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital, waiting for a donor heart, Ava faced the disappointment of missing her school’s cherished father-daughter dance this February. But the wonderful staff at the hospital had a bright idea. On February 12, they transformed a room into a beautiful dance hall, filled with festive decorations and warmth.

Her dad, Sean, eagerly awaited Ava just outside her room, holding a lovely corsage. As she entered the Valentine-themed space, caregivers—who have become like family—greeted her with applause, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration.

Together, Ava and Sean danced to a delightful playlist of her favorite songs, lovingly curated by one of the hospital’s music therapists. It was an unforgettable moment that filled their hearts with happiness.
